The pivot
The work I was always meant to do.
For twenty years I led teams and ran operations. Apple. Microsoft. Enterprise accounts. US operations for a global tech company. I was good at it, and I'm grateful for every bit of it.
But the part that lit me up was never on the org chart. It was the coaching. The one-on-ones. Watching somebody get unstuck and take off.
Somewhere along the way I started giving my own health the attention I'd been giving everyone else's business. Moving every day. Stretching. Sleeping. Eating like I meant it. The change was dramatic, and it showed up everywhere.
For years I changed my diet, and it never moved the needle the way I wanted. So I got a lot of bloodwork done to understand what was actually going on, then made adjustments built for my own profile. After that, the weight came off faster, especially from my midsection, and my cholesterol improved without the statins my doctor had recommended.
That's my experience, not medical advice. Work with your doctor on yours.
Tracking is what changed things for me. It's why bloodwork and wearables are part of how I coach.
So I pivoted toward the work I actually care about. I earned my RYT-200 yoga certification, trained as an assisted-stretch practitioner, and started working with people one on one. This is the most fulfilling work I've ever done.
Now I bring what worked for me in operations, a clear plan, honest feedback, and a steady weekly rhythm, to men who are carrying a lot and running low.
And none of it happens without you.
thnx, Rob
